Step 1: Create a Student Profile

Go to the Programs and search for a program based on your interests.

Once you find a tentative program, click on the Request Advising tab.

Select No to create a profile as a Non-NMSU student and click Submit.

When asked whether you have received your login credentials via email, select No  and then click Submit.

Fill out the New User Form with your information and select your home institution.

You will then receive an email with your username and password information.

Once you receive your username and password, log in to your study abroad student account and click on Advising Application highlighted in blue in the upper left hand side of the screen. Fill out the Interest Questionnaire, and all the other required fields.

Step 2: Apply for Non-Degree Admission at NMSU

Step 3: Call the Office of Study Abroad to set up a phone appointment with a Study Abroad Advisor. The Study Abroad Advisor will discuss programs, cost and courses with you. Once you select a program you will be placed and receive an application checklist online on your advising application. This application checklist includes:

Program Placement Disclosure

School Application

Health Evaluation Packet

Course Equivalency Form (may use our form or own institution’s form)

Verification of Financial Aid Form (may use our form or your own institution’s form)

The Office of Education Abroad will process your application materials and your credits once we receive a transcript from the institution abroad. You will receive an invoice for fees that are billed.
