International and Border Programs

Office of Education Abroad

We are thrilled that you are considering NMSU! This website is designed to assist students who plan to come to NMSU on an official exchange program established by a formal agreement between New Mexico State University and one of its partner institutions and/or consortium members (ISEP, CONAHEC etc.).

Degree-seeking international students should instead refer to the International Student Services (ISS) webpage for information related to studying at NMSU.  The ISS webpage can be accessed here:

If you are interested in studying at NMSU as an exchange student, you must first be selected and nominated by your home university. Your Study Abroad or International Office Advisor/Exchange Coordinator can inform you about procedures at your university and answer specific questions about the application process for exchange students.

This site is organized to help you learn more about New Mexico State University and obtain information specifically prepared for exchange students. We hope this web site is useful and provides the information you need. Read all these topics carefully and consult with your Study Abroad Advisor and students from your university who have participated in a NMSU exchange. This should prepare you for a wonderful and rewarding adventure at New Mexico State University!

PLEASE NOTE: Certain CMI and Business courses are CLOSED to exchange students.
