Confirmation & Registration Procedures
Admission Confirmation
Once the Office has received the admission application and all supporting documents, the admission will be processed. Once admission is completed, the Office will notify students by e-mail. In this e-mail message, you will be provided your student number, the name and e-mail address of an academic advisor to help you choose classes and answer academic questions, a web link for you to review the current schedule of courses being offered the coming semester, and a web link to the undergraduate and/or graduate catalog.
Pre-Registration
After reviewing the current schedule of courses, students will fill out the Inbound Course Request Form (PDF). Once completed, scan and e-mail the form to the Study Abroad Advisor, or fax to 505-646-3482. The Study Abroad Advisor will register you in the courses you requested (and will contact you if any registration problems arise, such as a course being closed). Pre-registration is encouraged so that exchange students have the best possible selection of courses prior to arrival.
MyNMSU Accounts

The Study Abroad Ambassadors will set up each exchange student's MyNMSU e-mail account, which will be used extensively by the exchange student during the stay at NMSU. You will be provided the User Name and Password to access your account. You should change your password after first accessing the account.

Advisory: The last day to register for a class is about 10 days after the beginning of classes. Adding classes late in the semester, allowed in some other countries, cannot be done at NMSU.
