The following information is provided as a guide. Placement in a program is subject to approval by the Office of Study Abroad. An advertised program may be unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.
Bahrom Summer - Korea Seoul Women's University, Korea, offers a special summer program for students (male and female) with interest in Asian Studies. The one-month (July 1-27, 2007) Bahrom International Program, is a unique and low-cost opportunity to learn about Asia.
British Studies in London The Midwestern State University British Studies Program is a summer program in London, England. The program will be housed at Queen Mary College of the University of London. NMSU is a consortium member of the MSU British Studies Program, which hires professors from MSU, NMSU, Tarleton State and other partner institutions to conduct the classes. Students may take any of the courses taught. Program is from July 7 to August 7.
International Summer Study Program Alberta, Canada
NMSU has partnered with the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, to allow students to enroll in the International Summer Study Program in July-August. NMSU faculty are also eligible to request to teach in this program. Students pay U Alberta for the instructional costs, plus make arrangements for accommodations. Students will receive 3-6 transfer credits.
Ecology & Environmental Sciences • Health & Society-Belize These summer programs are sponsored by the Consortium for Belize Education Cooperation, in conjunction with Georgia College and State University.
Cartona, Italy Liberal Arts Program
NMSU has partnered with the University of Alberta's Faculty of Arts School in Cortona, Italy, to allow students to enroll in their semester programs as full-time students. NMSU students pay U of Alberta resident tuition. Students take courses in the humanities and may also study beginning Italian.
CIMBA Business & Journalism in Italy
The Consortium of Universities for International Studies (CIMBA), coordinated by the University of Kansas, offers students an opportunity to internationalize their curriculum while studying in English. Students take courses in business, communications, economics, and journalism, and may take Italian language courses and other electives related to Italy. CIMBA is located in the town of Paderno del Grappa which is in the Veneto Region of Italy near Venice. The summer program is in Aloso. NMSU professors may teach in this program.
Seville Spain Center NMSU is a member of the Texas Tech Seville Program, which allows NMSU students to enroll in their semester and summer programs to learn Spanish and take other courses taught in English by U.S. professors. Students are provided extensive in-country support from Texas Tech resident staff. NMSU professors may be considered for teaching in this program.
Yangtse (China) International Study Abroad
Yangtse International Study Abroad offers opportunties to study Chinese while taking other courses in English. Program is organized in affiliation with the U. of Arizona.
