MUFFLES Student Teaching
Options
Students enroll as exchange students, but take no classes at Muffles College. Instead they complete supervised student teaching for a semester in Orange Walk elementary or secondary schools. Some advanced students could teach at Muffles College.
Application Consult with Dr. James O'Donnell, Department Head of Curriculum and Instruction, to design a program.
Eligibility Undergraduates or graduates eligible to student teach-contact Dr. O'Donnell.
Deadlines March 15 for Fall; October15 for Spring; late applications accepted at discretion of program director. Early application encouraged.
Pay to NMSU Application fee of $300, NMSU tuition at full-time undergraduate or graduate rate, plus required health insurance ($36 per month).
Scholarships 
Mesilla Valley Rotary and IFSA scholarships may be used. Students with Pell Grants should apply for Gilman awards.
Withdrawal Penalty  
The $300 program fee is non-refundable if a student withdraws after having accepted a student teaching placement. Tuition is refundable if the student withdraws.
