of Education Internship* |
NMSU
has a graduate internship with the Belize
Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Students
serve in internship positions doing professional
activities that assist the Ministry to develop
education in the country. This is a good program
for independent spirited students who want a
multicultural experience and want a professional
international experience.

Internship |
NMSU
has had a graduate internship with the University
of Belize's Regional Language Center in
Belmopan, the capital of Belize. Students serve
in ESL instructor positions. This is a good program
for independent spirited students who want a
multicultural experience and want to learn to
teach in an international environment.

The
Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers
student teaching options through a cooperative
arrangement with Muffles Community College,
Orange Walk, Belize. Students can do their student
teaching to meet NM Licensure requirements in
elementary or secondary schools in Orange Walk,
or at Muffles Community College.

The
Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers
student teaching options in various locations
in Costa Rica in cooperation with the Universidad
Nacional de Costa Rica. Students can do their
student teaching to meet NM Licensure requirements
in elementary or secondary schools in Costa Rica.
Students should have good Spanish language skills,
even though they may teach in English..
