|
| Application
Deadlines |
Each
internship program has its own application
deadlines.
|
| Office
of Study Abroad Priority Administrative Deadlines |
The
Office of Study Abroad needs sufficient time
to process applications, set up files, administer
orientation, and enroll students in NMSU distance
education courses. The Office has set May
1 as the deadline for programs starting Fall, and November
15 for those starting Spring. By
these priority deadlines, students must have
(1) submitted
the application to the internship supervisor
and provided the office with a copy, (2) paid
the NMSU internship fee (or arranged for billing
authorization if receiving financial aid), (3)
completed the appropriate Study Abroad Agreement
and turned it in to the Office, and (4) completed
the appropriate WebCT orientation course.. Students
who apply after the priority deadline or fail
to complete the other requirements listed above
are subject to Late Processing Fees.
|
| Standard
Fees Paid to NMSU |
Most
internships in education have a $300 fee assessed,
plus the cost of NMSU tuition for full-time enrollment
at NMSU.
|
| Other
Costs |
Consider
the costs of a Passport (about $110),
travel to site by air-bus-train, and Personal
Miscellaneous Expenses. Costs
are subject to change at any time. Penalties
may apply for early withdrawal after accepting
placement. Since
currency exchange rates fluctuate, review the
most current
rates for converting U.S. dollars to a foreign
currency.
