The following information is provided as a guide. Applications to KCP are subject to review and approval by the Office of Study Abroad and an advertised program may be unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances. Program costs are subject to change.
Options
Spring (January 8-March 24, or April 8-June 24), Summer Short-term (June 25-August 13), Fall (October 7-December 22). Check KCP web site for updated dates.

Eligibility
Students with sophomore standing who have one semester of Japanese or a knowledge of Hiragana and Katakana before application with a 2.5 g.p.a.
Application Deadlines About 2-3 months before start of program.
Scholarships
Students should apply for local, federal and privale scholarships. Students with Pell grants should apply for Gilman awards (up to $5,000) for study abroad. Students should apply for Freeman grants (up to $7,000) for study in Asia, NSEP (Boren) Undergraduate and Graduate Awards to study Chinese ($7,000 plus per semester).
Paid to NMSU
For 2007-2008: Application fee ($300 non-refundable at time of application ), HTH insurance ($36 per months).
Paid to KCP
Contact KCP for specific rates for instruction fees, housing, meals and other program components.
Insurance
HTH required.
