 When
I first walked into the Office of Study Abroad,
I had no idea what I was in for. My only intention
was to see if it was even possible to me to
participate in an intensive language program
to earn credit.
After visiting with the faculty and staff,
I was astonished at the tremendous opportunities
the program had to offer and how easy the entire
process was. After evaluating my educational
and personal goals, I settled on a study abroad
program during the summer at the Malaca Instituto
in Málaga, Spain. The time I spent in
Spain was the most unforgettable and eye-opening
six weeks of my life. The language institute
was so warm and welcoming, the locals were
helpful and supportive, and the activities
and excursions
were AWESOME! Not only did I get a taste of
the Spanish language at its finest, at the
same time
I was able to take in its unique and beautiful
culture. I would definitely recommend studying
abroad to anyone curious about other cultures,
willing to try new experiences and interested
in a once in a lifetime opportunity.
