GROUP TRAVEL QUICK LIST
Some group travel programs are advertised and open to all students who meet the requirements for enrollment in the courses that are offered for credit. The following group travel courses have been organized by NMSU faculty members. THESE MAY OR MAY NOT BE OFFERED IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2007-2008.
Belize Field School-2008 Two programs offered in 2008: Coral Reef & Marine Reserve-BIOL 450/550 Special Topics, Marine Tropical Biology (a 9-day exploration into the coral reef and the Caribbean Cayes, conducted by Dr. Michele Nishiguchi); Cockscomb Basin Reserve-WLSC450/550 Special Topics-Tropical Field Ecology (a 9-day exploration into the Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Reserve, conducted by Dr. Martha Desmond).
CMI-Hong Kong-2008 Film program conducted in Hong Kong, Summer 2008 by the Creative Media Institute.
Art History of Brazil
In summer 2006 Dr. Elizabeth Zarur, Art Department, organized several Art History courses in Minas Gerais State, Brazil. Check with Dr. Zarur about the 2008 course, in which students would register for regular courses at NMSU, then complete the work by traveling in Brazil. NMSU, in addition to the cost of tuition, will charge a program fee to cover travel, housing, meals, insurance, and other administrative support costs.
Nicaragua Ag ECON Tour
Dr. Connie Faulk offered a Spring Break (March 17-25) agricultural business tour of Nicaragua. Click here for a PDF version of 2007 flyer. Students received credit for AGE 380. Contact Dr. Faulk about this program being offered in 2008
