Two programs offered in 2008: Coral Reef & Marine Reserve-BIOL 450/550 Special Topics, Marine Tropical Biology (a 9-day exploration into the coral reef and the Caribbean Cayes, conducted by Dr. Michele Nishiguchi); Cockscomb Basin Reserve-WLSC450/550 Special Topics-Tropical Field Ecology (a 9-day exploration into the Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Reserve, conducted by Dr. Martha Desmond).

Eligibility
BOTH COURSES REQUIRE INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL TO REGISTER.
Deadlines December 7, 2007 to reserve air ticket to Belize. January 25, 2008 for submission of all paperwork.
Pay to NMSU 
Non-refundable deposit of $200 to hold place in class and $100* to reserve air ticket to Belize and return. This will be applied to program costs and tickets.
Scholarships   Mesilla Valley Rotary club will provide $2000 to help pay for airtickets.
Withdrawal Penalty  
Application fee deposit of $200 is non-refundable. *Students who pay the air ticket deposit are obligating themselves to pay the full cost of the ticket, even if they withdraw later. Students could find somebody else to take on the obligation for the ticket. Airlines are strict on group tickets and will not give refunds. Tuition is refundable according to NMSU registration policy.
