Applications to SWU
are subject to review and approval by the Office
of Study Abroad and an advertised program may
be unavailable due to imbalances in the exchange
or for other unforeseen circumstances. Program
costs are subject to change.

SWU's
Korean Studies in English is a new exchange program
open only to women beginning
Fall 2008. Courses are offered in Korean Politics,
Economics, History, Religion and Philosophy,
Language, Theatre, Costume, Food, Society, Education,
Art, and Contemporary Issues Each course is 2
credits and students can take from 10-18 credits.
Fall semester September 1-mid-December, Spring
March 1 mid-June. See also special Summer
Bahrom Program.

| Eligibility |
GPA
of 3.0+ and sophomore standing at time of application. Program
is conducted in English, but students may study
Korean.

Deadlines |
NMSU's
application deadline for SWU is April 1 for
Fall, October 15 for Spring. NMSU's
priority administrative deadline is May 1 for
Fall and October 15 for Spring, after which
late processing fees apply.

2008-2009: Application fee ($300),NMSU
full-time tuition ($2379), program fee per
semester ($200), Health Insurance ($38).

of all program arrangements organized by SWU. Students

HTH insurance.

| Scholarships |
Students
with Pell grants should apply for $5,000 Gilman Awards.
Students with financial need should also apply
for $7,000 Freeman Asia
Awards. Students studying Fall 2008 or Sspring
2009 are eligible
for the IFSA
Grant (up
to $2,000). Other scholarships may apply.

| Withdrawal
Penalties |
Students
who have accepted the SUT placement then
withdraw will be charged $200 by
NMSU to recover its administrative expenses. SWU
has its own withdrawal policy which students
need to review.
