Under
the ISEP agreement, NMSU may arrange for exchanges
bilaterally with Macquarie University through
ISEP. Although this is organized as a bilateral
exchange, the administration of the exchange
follows ISEP procedures and the ISEP fees and
benefits structure. Macquarie University, Sydney,
Australia, offers courses in business, humanities
and social sciences, and science and technology

best to apply for start of program in February.

| Eligibility |
GPA
of 3.0 preferred for exchange, with junior standing
by time program begins. Requires students who
are self-directed and adaptable.

Deadlines |
Fall (Mid-July
in AUS) deadline is January 25 and Spring (February
start) deadline is August 25. |
| Paid
to NMSU |
For
2007-2008: Tuition per semester ($2226),
program fee per semester ($200), housing based
on apartment options ($1,600), meal plan including
cafeteria closing allowance ($1,1522). BETA
supplemental insurance ($30) to cover medical
evacuation since Australian insurance does
not provide this benefit.

Australian
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) required. Must
be prepaid in full for entiree length of program
before obtaining student visa. Sold at about

should apply for local, federal and private scholarships.

| Withdrawal
Penalties |
Students
who have accepted the ISEP-Macquarie
placement then withdraw will be charged $200 by
NMSU to recover its administrative expenses. Students
who accept an academic year placement may have
to pay the entire cost of the program if they
withdraw early. Other ISEP or Macquarie
penalties for unrecoverable costs may apply for
early withdrawal after accepting placement.
