Applications to CQU are subject to review and
approval by the Office of Study Abroad and
an advertised program may be unavailable due
to imbalances in the exchange or for other
unforeseen circumstances. Program costs are

CQU
offers innovative programs in Creative and Performing
Arts (particularly dance and music), Business
and Informatics, Social Sciences (including Aboriginal
Studies, Psychology and Sociology), Digital Innovation,
Biomedical Science and Health and Human Movement. CQU
can accommodate 3 Exchange students for one semester
each per year, and unlimited Direct enrollments
either as Study Abroad or degree-seeking students.
Semesters start mid February and early July.
For full degree students a full semester starting
early November is also offered at our International
Campuses in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and the
Gold Coast. Program
is conducted in English. CQU
also has a fee paying option if exchange places
not available.

| Eligibility |
GPA
of 3.0 preferred for exchange, with junior standing
by time program begins. Requires students who
are self-directed and adaptable.

in AUS) deadline is April 1 and Spring deadline
is October 15. |

to NMSU |
For
2008-2009: Application fee ($300),
tuition per semester ($2,379), program fee
per semester ($200), BETA supplemental insurance
($30).

Cost
of all program *arrangements organized by CQU. (*Students
are housed in dormitories or residence colleges
or off campus. The Capricornia
College residence is located on campus. It
houses 330 students in mixed gender style accommodation.

| Insurance |
Australian
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) required. Must
be prepaid in full for entiree length of program
before obtaining student visa. Sold at Aus$160/6
months. BETA
also required.

| Scholarships |
Students
should apply for local, federal and privale scholarships.
|
| Withdrawal
Penalties |
Students
who have accepted the CQU placement then
withdraw will be charged $200 by
NMSU to recover its administrative expenses. Students
who accept an academic year placement may have
to pay the entire cost of the program if they
withdraw early. Other CQU penalties for
unrecoverable costs may apply for early withdrawal
after accepting placement.
