Beijing UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOOGY LINK
The following information is provided as a guide. Applications to Beijing UT are subject to review and approval by Dr. Boberg and the Office of Study Abroad and an advertised program may be unavailable due to imbalances in the exchange or for other unforeseen circumstances. Program costs are subject to change.
Options
Business courses are open to students. For more details about this program, contract Dr. Kevin Boberg, College of Business Administration and Economics.
Chances of Placement Good.
Eligibility Minimum GPA of 3.0 with sophomore standing by time of exchange for undergraduates.  
Application Deadlines Fall deadline (mid-September) is April 15 and Spring (early March) deadline is October 15.
Paid to NMSU
For 2008-2009: Application fee ($300), tuition per semester ($2,379), program fee per semester ($200), HTH insurance fee ($38 per month).
Paid to Beijing Cost of all program arrangements organized by Beijing.
Insurance HTH required.
Scholarships
Students should apply for local, federal and privale scholarships. The IFSA scholarship may be used for study on exchange at SLCC . Students with Pell grants should apply for Gilman awards (up to $5,000) for study abroad. Students should apply for Freeman grants (up to $7,000) for study in Asia, NSEP (Boren) Undergraduate and Graduate Awards to study Chinese ($7,000 plus per semester).
Withdrawal Penalties
Students who have accepted the Beijing placement then withdraw will be charged $200 by NMSU to recover its administrative expenses. Students who accept an academic year placement may have to pay the entire cost of the program if they withdraw early. Other Beijiing penalties for unrecoverable costs may apply for early withdrawal after accepting placement.
