Requirements For Outbound Students |
| NMSU
students: Transfer & Graded Credit
Status |
Exchanges,
Direct, Intensive Language, Special, Student
Teaching or Internships, and Long-Term Travel Programs
(more than 10 days):

Students
enrolling in program in which they will receive
transfer credit or graded credit via distance education
are required to complete the on-line WebCT orientation
course titled 101SA-DEN-TC. This has been adaapted
to reflect the type of information NMSU students
need to be aware of before they depart. NMSU
cannot enroll students in study abroad courses
until this requirement is met. Students
will need to provide their My NMSU Login to the
Office so we may register you into the course. |
| Short-term
Group & Individual Travel (less than
10 days): |
Students
enrolled in NMSU courses who are traveling
abroad as part of their course for less than
10 days are not required to complete 101SA-DEN-TC.
The employee organizing or supervising the
short travel program takes ultimate responsibility
for organizing travel orientation. But students
are strongly advised to review the Safe
Travel and Evaluation sections
of this site and to consult with their faculty
leader about details of the trip. The employee
organizing or supervising this travel activity
may require you to attend supplemental orientation
sessions. |
| NMSU
students: No
Credit Status: |
Students
traveling out of the U.S. with faculty members
or under sponsorship of NMSU will not be
enrolled in any on-line orientation course.
But students
are strongly
advised
to review

| Language
Credit by Distance Education Program |
| Students
enrolling in the non-degree Language Credit via
Distance Education program are required to complete
the on-line WebCt orientation course titled 101SA-TC.
This has been adapted to reflect the type of information
these students need to be aware of before they
depart. NMSU cannot enroll students in their language
courses until this requirement is met. The
Office of Study Abroad will provide students
with a Guest Login and Password to be able to access
the on-line orientation course. |
| NMIEC
Guest Students (Effective
for Spring 2008 enrollments) |
Students
enrolling in exchanges or special programs
as guests of NMSU's Office of Study abroad
are required to complete the on-line WebCt
orientation course titled 101SA-DEIL. This
has been adapted to reflect the type of information
these students need to be aware of before they
depart.The
Office of Study Abroad will provide students
with a Guest Login and Password to be able
to access the on-line orientation course.
This course is a supplement to the
study abroad orientation required by their
home institution, and is a condition of receiving
guest status with NMSU |
