OFFICE OF STUDY ABROAD

APPLY TO THE PROGRAM OF YOUR CHOICE:

There is no single application form used by NMSU for study abroad. Instead, students apply to the specific program for which they want to be admitted. The Office of Study Abroad maintains applications for approved programs. Some of these applications may also be accessed on line. The Office will assist in filling out and forwarding the application. All university based programs require submission of the most recent official transcript from all colleges and universities attended and academic reference forms. In most cases the Office has to endorse the applications before forwarding them to the program sponsor. Students enrolling in one of the Intensive Language Programs need to consult with the Foreign Studies Advisor in the Department of Languages and Linguistics before applying to the specific program. The Advisor will determine what credit may be earned by study the language intensively.Students wanting to enroll in a faculty led program will obtain application instructions from the faculty member. Students applying to Student Teaching Abroad need to contact Jim O'Donnell in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
