Advisory: While the Office of Study Abroad provides country information  from NMSU students returning from abroad, a lot of the critical information needed by outgoing students must be provided by the host institution in which you will be studying. It is the responsibility of students to ask questions of their hosts before departing the U.S. Ask your host institution to send you a pre-departure information package, or review their web site to find this information. Ask the Office to send you a copy of the CULTUREGRAM for your country. Also check out the U.S. Department of State's STUDENTS ABROAD, which has links on traveling abroad (used for NMSU on-line orientation), and GOABROAD Network, an online community designed for the student traveler to share travel journals and photos.
