guest students need to purchase insurance to
travel abroad? |
Yes. They
may purchase the policy required by their home
institution to study abroad, or they may purchase
the policy used by NMSU.

does the NMSU insurance cover and cost? |
Health
Select Overseas Plan
Full
coverage while abroad for sickness, accidents,
accidental death and dismemberment, repatriation
of remains, and emergency medical evacuation. Also
covers up to $1,000 of expenses incurred in the
U.S. for follow up treatment of a medical condition
contracted while abroad. Includes travel assistance.
The cost is $36 per month (and must be purchased
in monthly allotments-price subject to change).
