Are
students enrolled in the Language Credit for
Distance Education Program Required to purchase
travel insurance? |
Yes. All
students are required to purchase the HTH
Health Select Overseas Plan. NMSU will
arrange this insurance with all students except
those applying through NRCSA, which will arrnage
the HTH insurance for them.

What
does the insurance cover and cost? |
|
Full
coverage while abroad for sickness,
accidents, accidental death and dismemberment,
repatriation of remains, and emergency medical
evacuation. Also covers up to $1,000 of expenses
incurred in the U.S. for follow up treatment
of a medical condition contracted while abroad.
Includes travel assistance. The cost is $36
(until 12-31-2007) per month, and must be
purchased in monthly allotments.
