Will
NMSU administer financial aid for DEIL students? |
No. Students
must work with their home institution to arrange
disbursement of financial aid to study on an
NMSU program. The Office will provide program
cost information to the students' home institution
and verify that NMSU is not providing them financial
aid.

Are
Americorp Awards accepted by NMSU? |
| Yes. NMSU
works with Americorp to invoice them for the costs
of the intensive language programs. |

Are
scholarships available for guests to study abroad
with NMSU? |
Not
from NMSU, but possibly from their home institution. NMSU
scholarships are reserved for NMSU students.
DEIL students should consult with their home
institution about scholarships that may be
used for language study. Students who study
for a semester may be eligible for Federal
programs such as Gilman (for
Pell grant recipients) and those who study
Japanaese during summer or a semester may be
eligible for Freeman Asia
grants.
