BRIDGEABROAD-
ANTIGUA
LANGUAGE INSTITUTE
• Highly recommend studying abroad in Guatemala. • Great place, awesome teachers, many places to travel and see. • Antigua is beautiful.

• Would be better for advanced students. • Though other schools might be better in Antigua.
PROYECTO LINGUSTICO
(La Hermandad)
LANGUAGE INSTITUTE
• People are amazing and the country is most distinctive in Latin America. • Absolutely – it was all excellent except for the rain! • Guatemala was great.... • The program is excellent, instruction is tailored to the student and teachers vary every week. Every one is helpful and understanding of the student's struggle to master the language. I also enjoyed the more serious focus the students come from Princeton, Berkely, and are often Masters and Doctoral candidates. • This is the most cost effective school you will find for one-on-one instruction. • Great program.... • Great but not for the light of heart. • Considering the country’s status, I thought that this school and city are located in as good a place to be located when visiting the country.

• City is touristy. • ...but living in the city (Xela) was not that great. If I had stayed the entire time at the Mountain School it would have been better. Also the school had strong opinions politically which sometimes felt pushed on me. • Great, but not for high maintenance students or "sunshine soldiers," as Thomas Pain called them. Amenities are few and far between and the student should be prepared for a rough, but fulfilling, experience.
XELAJU
LANGUAGE INSTITUTE
• Not everything is fast food mentality, so the environment cleanses the soul. • On a cost vs. effectiveness scale, Guatemala is your best bet. There is never a lack in anything to do, and the people are absolutely amazing. • The people in Guatemala are so friendly and helpful. It really opens your eyes to world, social and political problems. • I think the program is a great deal. It opens cultural doors for individuals. The area is very different from the Southwest.
