Kristi, and Trish) and guides were enthusiastic
the
entire time and made the trip even better. |

Angers: • After
dropping me off they just left me to fend

Franche-Comte: • Charming
town but unsupportive university.
Havre: • Paying
bills was too complicated and staff became
less helpful after orientation.
Lyon3: Academic advising is limited,
but Tessa Adrian in the
International Office will help answer
questions. • Be prepared to ask a lot
of questions, and don't always get the same
answer. • Be prepared to be self-reliant
administratively.
Maine
(Le Mans): • University not
too helpful with international students (such
as providing excursions, services, information)
but ISEP coordinator more helpful when we had
questions--just not always available. • Don't
expect French student services to compare
with the U.S., but everything was adequate.
MICEFA: • ...
was less helpful with those at Sorbonne Novelle
than with those at universities with many students. • French
bureaucracy is difficult to adjust to. • They
help a lot to find a place to live. |

is over worked so unable to assist students,
but everything else was fantastic. Staff hard
to find, limited office hours, often absent
during those hours.
Würzburg: • Somewhat

Cuauhnáhuac: • The
school was attentive to my needs and the faculty
staff were very friendly. • I
found the office made enormous efforts for
me to find my interest in the city like dance
classes. • They really had their act
together. Fenix: • My
family tried to call emergency number once
and didn’t work and I never used medical
services. Everything else was great, great
people and great school. • There
are great faculty at Fenix. • Will
return, I liked it that much. • The people
were amazing, the staff outstanding, and every
I learned equally interesting and invigorating.
I would do it again in a heartbeat .• The
people in Zacatecas were very friendly. the
staff was very professional and helpful. ICO
(Oaxaca): • Did
great job of fining a host family for me. TEC
de Monterrey: • No
troubles at all-all services great and readily
available (Monterrey). • The staff support
was so low .... They would promise it would
be done late (Monterrey). • Lots of busy
work when you arrive, so make copies of everything
and ask questions since they will help you. • Lots
of offices to visit, so keep all receipts. |
SPAIN |
BridgeAbroad:
(Granada) • Teachers and staff
helpful, and tourist info office excellent.
ISA:
(Sevilla) • Everything is
taken care of for you (documents, insurance,
housing, etc.). • Staff extremely helpful
with on-site arrangements as well as all
other aspect of the program. • Great.
Jaume: • The
ABEE and OPIC are really good in helping
out.
PIEE-Ronda: The
instructors are always eilling to help and
you will find the same services available
in Ronda as in the U.S. • Not
as much help as expected. • Helpful,
but need to be persistent to get their help.
Texas
Tech Sevilla Center: • The
TTU Center is very home-based. The professors
sometimes hold classes at their apartments.
UPO: • UPO
helps with housing. • Don't expect
staff at UPO to do everything for you. • Study
Abroad office staff great and help out a
lot. |

Fribourg: • Helpful,
but don't always know the answers. |
UK (England,
Scotland, Northern Ireland) |
Napier: • Staff
lacks information about study abroad. Better
to talk to Student Union and your home campus.
Sutherland: • The
staff forces you to be autonomous. Little to
no help after orientation regarding registration,
transcripts and help answering questions. International
office wasn't helpful.
Ulster: • When
arriving the coordinator had not provided adequate
arrangements to get to my housing nor provided
after office hours assistance to receive my
key. Contact university directly to make your
own
arrangements. |
